JUST IN… President Mnangagwa Tours Madokero Housing and Retail Complex in Tynwald

Harare – His Excellency the President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa today toured the newly completed Madokero phase two shopping mall and housing complex in the Tynwald suburb of Harare.

The Madokero development, situated along the Madokero Creek, features 148 detached and semi-detached residential units available for both rental and purchase. The second phase of the project also includes a new shopping mall with a variety of retail stores, restaurants, and other commercial services.

During his visit, President Mnangagwa was briefed on the details of the Madokero development by the project’s developers. He toured model homes, met with some of the new residents, and visited the shops and amenities in the shopping mall.

“This is an impressive new community that will provide much-needed housing and commercial options for the people of Harare,” said President Mnangagwa. “I am pleased to see this level of investment and development taking place, which aligns with our national vision of building world-class infrastructure and expanding access to quality living standards.” He added.

The Madokero project speaks to the Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo mantra of the government of President Mnangagwa under the second republic.

It is indeed in line with the vision of the government’s broader efforts to address Zimbabwe’s housing shortage and stimulate economic growth through private sector investment in real estate and urban development.

With its mix of residential and commercial components, the complex is expected to become a thriving hub for the local community and the nation at large.

“We are proud to deliver this new phase of the Madokero development to the people of Harare,” said the project’s lead developer. “Our goal is to create an integrated, sustainable community that improves quality of life and supports the continued growth and prosperity of the city.” They added.

The completion of the Madokero phase two project marks another milestone in the government’s ambitious national development plans.

President Mnangagwa’s tour highlighted the administration’s commitment to partnering with the private sector to drive infrastructure development and expand access to housing, jobs, and economic opportunities across Zimbabwe.
